Payment Options

All orders placed on this website will be processed in Australian dollars. However, if you are making the purchase from outside of Australia, your credit card company or PayPal will automatically convert the currency to your local currency, based on the current exchange rate at the time the order is processed.

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit Card: We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Bankcard. Your credit card information will be processed through Square Secure SSL Server, which uses encryption to prevent fraud.

  • PayPal: PayPal is a safe and secure payment method that acts as an intermediary between the buyer and seller. For more information on how PayPal works, please visit their website.

  • Direct Deposit: You can also make a direct deposit into our bank account (in Australian dollars).

Returns Policy

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all internet purchases from our website*. The 30-day period begins from the date of your order, and Opalised Australia must be notified of your intention to return the product before the end of this period. The customer will be responsible for the return shipping cost, and the product must be received in its original condition and packaging, without damage, to receive a refund. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method, including credit card, bank account, PayPal, or Afterpay.

All transactions, including refunds, will be processed in Australian dollars, and the exchange rate fluctuations may result in variations in the refund amount. Opalised Australia will not be responsible for any changes in the exchange rate that may affect the refund amount. Refunds may take 2-5 business days to process, as per our eCommerce provider’s policy.

*Please note: Returns Policy only applies to stock jewelry and unmodified unset stones. Custom-made jewelry and unset opals cut for custom orders are non-refundable.

Security Policy

All internet transactions on our website will be conducted through a secure SSL server, using digital signatures for added security. Your credit card information will never be transmitted via email and will be protected by Square’s secure servers, using industry-standard security protocols.

Shipping

We offer free international shipping for orders over AUD 350 (ex GST), and all international orders under AUD 350 (ex GST) will incur a shipping charge of AUD 30. Our opals are insured against loss, theft, or damage during delivery, and most deliveries will take 10 working days. For more valuable items, we offer DHL International Courier delivery, and less expensive items will be delivered via insured Express Air Mail.

Loss or Damage During Delivery

All parcels sent by Opalised Australia are insured against loss, theft, or damage during delivery. You can shop with confidence knowing that your parcel is fully insured. In the unlikely event that your opal is lost during transit, we will fully reimburse you the purchase price of the stone.

Goods and Services Tax (GST)

GST is a 10% value-added tax that applies to most goods and services transactions in Australia. Our website prices are exclusive of GST, and international customers are not required to pay this tax. Exported goods are tax-free and not subject to Australia’s GST.

Opalised Australia passes this benefit onto our international customers, and all internet purchases shipped overseas are tax-free. However, customers residing in Australia will be charged the 10% GST during the checkout process.

Taxes

Please be aware that import taxes may be imposed by your government when you receive your goods. These taxes can vary from country to country, and unfortunately, we have no control over them. In the event of a refund, the customer will be responsible for all costs associated with import taxes, as we are unable to refund these amounts or any other costs associated with importing goods.
